Wedding Service

Is Zolan (Jerry Kilpatrick) the guy for your service?

Are you in Southern Washington State or Northern Oregon State around the Portland/Vancouver area? Do you want to have a generally inexpensive simple wedding ceremony? If the answer was yes to all of those questions then I may be your man.

Standard Questions?

Can I conduct marriages? You bet I can!
Have I ever conducted one before? As of writing this page I haven't.
Why haven't I done a marriage before? I have only recently become ordained.
Is a marriage done by me legal? Marriages done by me are legal in around 47 states. For absolute sure in Oregon and Washington states it is 100% legal as long as you follow the state's laws, such as both parties must be over 18 years of age, (presently) opposite sex, etc.

What kind of service do you get?

That is generally up to you. I would prefer to do simpler weddings. As for the content, I can be spiritual, romantic, fun, or all around crazy. I'm not the kind of guy to come to if you want a religious wedding such but I can definitely do spiritual. If you want to have a wedding in which you hand fast, that's fine. If you want a wedding where you show up, we say a few words and you leave, that's fine. If you want to have a wedding where one of you are dressed like Mario and the other like Princess Peach, that's fine too.

I'm out here for those people who are not into the BIG wedding idea. We can make it fun and still be serious. In the end you are still legally married just as you would have been if you spent thousands of dollars on a wedding.

How do you do it?

First, you contact me by emailing wedding_service@zolan.org. Then we decide if I really am the right person to do your wedding ceremony. We work out a price which I promise will be less expensive than almost every other place you look. Then, you go get all the needed wedding licenses and we get together and have ourselves a wedding.

Why am I doing this?

Well, for one thing, I've not done ANY weddings as of yet and it sounds like a great thing to do for another couple. I'm not in it for the money other than making back what I spent on my ordination. I'm in it to make people's dreams come true without breaking their pocket book. I'm just in it for the people who just want to be legally married without all the fuss. Why should you have to pay an arm and a leg just to become legally married??? That's why.
