Somehow you have stumbled onto my website, and you must have been interested enough to click the link to see who I am.. So here you go.
My name is Jerry Kilpatrick. I make my living as a
computer geek
working for a company in the video rental/general movie information industry. I am quite happy at my job
right now, which is a plus, because as I always say "
If you can be happy
with what you do for a living you are one of the luckiest people in the
world.". In more recent history I have actually become an ordained minister as well. I'm looking forward to performing some wedding ceremonies in Oregon and Washington at some date in the future.
The name Zolan is something that has been with me for a long time.
There was a short part of my life in which I played D&D (Dungeons And Dragons)
and Zolan was my prized character. Since then, I got into the computer
industry fairly young and the name stuck with me. I first used Zolan as
my alias during the time of dial-up BBS's (Bulletin Board Systems) and in fact
many people still call me by that name today. I haven't been
able to shake the name since then, so I figured.. What the hell.. Go with it..
I have many interests. (As do all other people in this world.) Other than
being a
computer geek
which I'll cover in a second, I am also a musician.
My two strongest instruments are the piano and the alto sax. Other
instruments I have been known to play include, bagpipes, accordion,
soprano sax, and a wide variety of various flutes and whistles, most of
which are ocarinas. I gave up on the guitar. My fingers just don't work
that way.
As for my computer interests, I am a firm believer that Microsoft is EVIL.
My holy savior is open source. I used to do volunteer
work for
linux.com. You probably have
guessed this if you got to this site via www.linuxscripts.com. If you are
not aware what Linux is, you should at least look into it. I wouldn't
recommend that everyone run it, but I personally could not stand going back
to Microsoft products.
So, there is little more to tell you about myself unless you want to hear
about my entire past, which is doubtful...
Thanks for visiting my site,
Jerry Kilpatrick
